About Me
My wide and varied experience is your benefit.
|
I have worked in multiple technical roles in a variety of industries for many years. My first, part-time, job was working as a television repair technician in a TV hire shop (when repairing televisions was still a viable practice!). Following that I worked on the electrical maintenance team looking after heavy plant in a food processing factory, before moving on to BT where I stayed for some years working both as an engineer and a manager.
Eventually I had the opportunity to move into the entertainment field, working for a games company and running their motion capture operation. That began a period which saw me moving to various other companies related to motion capture, a rapidly evolving field. Despite being in the domain of 'computer generated imagery', this evolving science continuously required hardware and software solutions to unique problems never before encountered or even anticipated. These solutions have been employed in many major productions such as Gladiator, Troy, 28 Weeks Later, V for Vendetta, Bourne Ultimatum and many other TV and film productions that are far too numerous to mention here, and on some of which I have personal and company credits.
All of this experience has enabled me to build a solid knowledge base to which you now have access.
